K&K Manufacturing has been building truck equipment in Milner, Georgia, since 1990. We are family-owned and now in our second generation, and we would rather build one truck around your operation than sell a hundred off a shelf.
Every Build Starts With a Conversation
We ask how your crews work before we cut steel. That is why a work truck with a utility bed gets laid out one way for a field technician and a gooseneck service body another way for a hauler. Our service truck bodies, mechanic service truck bodies, and service body van builds are designed around the tools that ride with you.
Open Decks and Heavy Hauling
When the load is long, wide, or awkward, an open deck beats a box. Our platform bodies and flatbed truck bodies use reinforced framing and heavy-gauge decking, and heavy-duty truck bodies get spec’d up for extreme capacity. A flatbed truck with dovetail or ramp truck bodies brings the loading angle down for equipment that rolls on and off all day.
Dump and Specialty Builds
Loose material moves faster when the body does the lifting. Contractor truck bodies pair a hoist with a reinforced box, a landscape truck body adds tall sides and tool racking, and chipper truck bodies handle wet, heavy wood. Hook lift truck bodies let one chassis run several bodies, and we build the traffic control truck that keeps road crews protected.
One Shop, From Steel to Finish
Laser cutting, press brake forming, fabrication, media blasting, and our custom powder coating services all happen under one roof. Nothing gets shipped out, and nothing gets handed off, so the quality of your build is ours to answer for.
Backed Where It Counts
We are an NTEA member shop, and we stand behind every build with limited warranties on our truck bodies and trailers. Financing is available, and we work with truck dealers and distributors. Request a quote or an on-site evaluation and tell us what your fleet needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of truck bodies and work truck solutions do you manufacture?
Service bodies, mechanics trucks, platform and flatbed bodies, contractor and flatbed dumps, landscaping and chipper bodies, gooseneck and ramp bodies, van bodies, dovetails, hook lifts, traffic control trucks, and custom trailers. We also handle truck and van upfitting, plus powder coating and fabrication in-house.
Can you build a custom truck body for my specific industry or application?
Yes. Every project starts as a custom project, and we design around how your crews operate rather than handing you a catalog number. We have built for tree service, landscaping, municipal fleets, utilities, agriculture, junk removal, movie production, and airline ground support.
Which truck chassis and sizes are your truck bodies compatible with?
We build for three-quarter-ton pickups up through medium-duty trucks and work with all the major manufacturers. The right fit depends on payload, cab-to-axle dimension, and GVWR. Bring us your chassis or let us help you spec one.
Do you build truck bodies in aluminum and steel, and which is right for my needs?
Steel is our standard across every body we build, from service bodies to platforms and dumps. It handles abrasive loads and direct impact and costs less up front. Aluminum builds are available on request and quoted separately, usually when payload is the priority.
How long does it take to build and install a custom truck body?
Lead time depends on build complexity, component availability, and where we are in the production schedule. A straightforward platform body moves faster than a fully outfitted mechanics truck. You get a real timeline when we quote.
Do you offer delivery, financing, and warranty on your truck bodies across the United States?
Yes. We deliver throughout North America, and we work with truck dealers and distributors. Financing runs through our partnership with Crest Capital, and we back our work with limited warranties on truck bodies and trailers.
How do I get a quote for a custom truck body or service body?
Call (770) 228-9974, email sales@kandkmfg.com, or use the quote form on our site. We will ask about your chassis, what you haul, and how your crews use the truck. On-site evaluations and facility tours are also available.
